made this simple diagram for you guys... basically caffeine takes up the spots that sleep chemicals attach to before they do their jobs.
now all the sudden your brain loses it's ability to tell you to sleep...
and it's like holy shit.. something must be happening... lets kick in andrenaline... which constricts blood vessels in teh brain and on the outside of the body. allowing better bloodflow to the muscles... but the muscles are on full throttle. and you airways open more... you basically would react to caffiene the same way as if someone scared you.
caffiene also does somthing with dopamine.. i think it's a side effect of adrenaline being released.. but i may be mistaken.
:edit:
and as an assumption i believe that the drop off you feel after caffiene dies off is caused by the hgihetened ammounts of "sleep chemical" thats sitting around.
wow, thanks for the responses...ive noticed that i am gettign immune to it because my morning classes, i am starting to fall asleep.
it makes me hella fatigue, like crashing and burning. back to cold water. thansk!
