I recently, and today being the day i say it, i think im going thru a 1/4 life crisis. I'm always ranting about all this shit that bugs me...

people never calling me back
people talking shit
people never wanting to do anything
people saying i starting drama, when i don't ever say anything
people wanting to be me
people wanting to build my car
having no money
hating my job

i could go on and on....

maybe i'm growing up?
maybe i need something new?
maybe im hiding something? but what?
maybe im sick of all the people i talk to?
maybe im normal, and everyone else around me are assholes?

I don't know, but i'm really stressing over all this nonsense. i'm about to wig out.

I think you just gotta sit back and sort the issues at hand in two piles.

pile 1: who the fuck cares
pile 2: go fuck yourself

trust me, it works wonders. You can't let people around you dictate how you think or what you do.

I'm getting very stressed with school right now. I'm also thinking about how I don't want to sit behind a desk as my career.

desk jobs can be very satisfying. You spend 8 hours a day at the office, the other 16 are all yours to live however you want.

You work hard, earn money, and use those funds to live life. Buy a house, start a family, get a pet, buy your dream car ...

Desk jobs may sound boring, but it's what you make of it.

You can't live your life worring about others. It's hard enough to walk as is, yet alone having to deal with unnecessary, dead weight.

i had friends that were just making my life miserable. left them behind and started looking forward. sure my group of friends has shrunk considerably and i'm very limited on who i can hang out with. but while i'm hanging out with this small selection, i'm happy.

That's pretty much my life story.

When I was 14 my father died of Asbestos related cancer.

I started hanging out with a bad crowd and partying all the time drinking not caring about my well being.

Started going to counciling.

Then came the heavy medication.

I stopped taking my meds one day, and my life pretty much turned around.

I started playing musical instruments. Now my collection consists of an ESP ec-300, ESP 401 (i think), tacoma vintage Gibson copy, 2 hand made itallian acoustics, a yamaha acoustic, Fender Jazz bass, Ibanez GRS 200, and I just sold my PD 7 peice kit. I made a small ass studio in my basement.

The music was very thereputical.

Then I got my liscence and started working on my car.

Then I figured out who my real friends are. Theres about 4 of them.

And here I am now, I'm very satisfied with the way my life is going.

I can't really give any advice on what you should do because I handled pretty much every choice in my teens wrong. All I can say is figure out what you NEED to do, and not what everyone around you is doing or wants you to do. In the end you'll be happy with your choices.

I'm too late for my quarter life crisis...and too early for my midlife. Though considering how much fast food I eat, this may be my midlife.
