Missed My Chance...
So, over here on the eats coast it is has been raining like no other all weekend so far.
SO today, my GF and I decided to go up and see her parents.
On the way there, we drove thru a little park about 15 mins from my house. "Rocks State Park"
Well, its a small little road, and to the right there is a good sized creek, but we were amazed how rough and how high the water was! It was seriously white water rapids!!
We drive 20 more feet, and i hear a cop car, so we just stop, since there is no shoulder, and he goes fly by us...
We drive 50 more feet and I'm like holy shit, there is a parking area which is atleast 8-10ft below the grade of the road... filled up, and to the right, which is abou the same height, the water is up to the road....
We are flipping, because the water is usally no where near that close to the road.
So we start going a little further and we see all these police cars and firefighters. So i pull right up behind them and get out. I ask what was going on, and with no words one officer just points across the other side of the water....
There is another road over there, but there is also a Plumers work van, just sitting. The water was the road coverd over there and it looks like the truck is going to be swept into the river.
SUcks because there was no news crews there, if i would have had my camera, i could have filmed and sold it to a news crew or two, and made some money, but i just snapped some pictures with my 35mm i had with me for school. I also took some pictures of the water all high, might send them into the local newspaper... thats all
