RT-615 and R-S2 Z212 are pretty close in performance, very stiff sidewalls, soft rubber compound, wear out quickly.

ES100 is not as absolutely grippy, but has a softer ride and will last longer.

Ummm the 615s and the Z212s have SOFT sidewalls. If you compare them to the Azenis Rt-215s.

Well I mean, within the overall pantheon of tires in general. h:

Are the RT-125's no good in rain? I found them really cheap. http://www.sportcompactonly.com/prod...4&c=100011&l=2

They are good up to about 3-4mm of tread LIKE most tires. I've been running these tires since 2001. At about 75mph with 3-4mm of tread of course they would hydroplane. They are great tires and are stickier when it's cold out

I am definently leaning towards those then.

About how many miles will I get out of them do you think? I kind of need to take that into consideration, give me a figure without any auto-x I may only use them for a couple events depending on what happens.

I have the ES-100's on both cars. LIked them so much on the integra, got them for the 914. Yokohama makes good tires, these break loose nice and progressively, no surprises what they are going to do. I have not had any experience with the SP 8000's. The yokos are much quieter than the Kumhos were. I have not really driven in heavy rain with these, but they are the replacements for the AVS intermediates, which were quite good in the rain.

Light car like mine too with no auto-x? That's not enough, I need to get at least 15k out of them. So are the ES100's the longest life best rain tire and the Hanooks and the other Azenis are more agressive and don't last as long. How much more mileage am I getting out of the ES100's compared to the Hankooks and Falkens?

you can probably get 15k if you do mostly freeway driving.
