Sheesh! I think I'm going to get this for my laptop. I have a 160 gig external I made but I have <4 gigs left... 300 gig hard drive for 99.99 Thats cheap!

i have two maxtors for over like 3 years and ive never had a problem.. i always read how people rip on them.. i think they're ok

maxtor had a problem with ONE series of drives a few years ago. Get over it

do yourself a bigger favor and dont listen to this guy
every line of every brand has hds that fail
this doesnt mean wd sucks or maxtor sucks

altho i have to say ive heard more bad things about deskstar than any other hd
