fire is a bout 4-5 miles from my house, mandatory evacuation is on right now, but my family's sticking around... we're packed and ready to go on a moments notice though

It sounds like the situation is improving and crews are getting the upper hand. :happysad:
Last I heard, only one home has been lost to the blaze. I think it was in Box Canyon, but I'm not sure. :happysad:
* 25% containment as of 1130hrs.
* Full containment expected by 1800hrs.
* Four helicopters and two water bombers on scene, together with apx. 1300 firefighters from LA & Ventura County and the local FDs.
* Temps supposed to come down tonight, winds are greatly reduced.
* Humidity is expected to rise as well, reducing the chance of re-ignition.
