Default what do you use for spyware?

I have spybot, is there anything else out there worth dl'ing?

I use both Spybot and Adaware.

Adaware, then Spybot ... if you really want to clean everything out, run these 2 apps in Safe Mode.

Bonzi Buddy. 180Search. Gator/Claria toolbar. MySearch toolbar. When I want to use spyware... I don't joke around.

same here.

I also use trend micro pc cillin, and avast at the same time. double the virus protection. although I'm thinking of ditching trend micro as avast is free, and better.

:werd: I run those two in that order. Haven't done it in safe mode though. That's a good idea.

most spyware loads on a system startup. Safe mode minimizes the amount of drivers loaded. It does the bare minimum to get Windows running.

When sweeping the drive with the 2 suggested apps, you'll be able to remove just about everything.
