If you missed that thread, The letter is below, bascailly, this is my final semester before i get my AA. And a teacher who was very contriversial(sp?) with my school, decided he was just going to stop showing up, so after a week or two of him not showing up, i wrote this letter to the dean.(below)

WELL... yesterday, I hear a peer of mine talking about this awesome letter a student wrote. He is a art aide, and art major @ my school, so he is very invovled in the art dept. He was telling some girl that this student wrote this awesome letter to Will (my new teacher who is the bomb, and also head of the art dept) and that its gone all around the campus, and it's not looking good for Tom (my old teacher). So without me knowing, i just asked him what it said, and before he even said anything about it, it clicked in his head.... " O shit dude, the letter was from you! Everyone fucking loves that shit! We couldn't have said it better ourselves! rock on"

So basically my letter i wrote is going all around campus, with intentions to use against this other teacher, with my name on it.

All i did was send it to the dean, never to my other teacher will. hoping to remain anonymous. So i'm not sure what to do.

But funny thing is, the dean showed up and assigned us Will, our new teacher, some time last week. And was saying Tom was sick and would not be back. Yet i see him everyday on tuesdays when walking to my Photography class... weird..

My Name is Patrick ----- and I've been a student here at CCBC Essex since the fall of 2003. I am approaching the end of my career here at Essex and furthering my education at a four year-institution.

I am writing to you with concern about my current Arts 101 (The Studio Experience - ARTS 101 DD1). This class takes place every Monday and Wednesday from 11:10am-1:00pm. My concern with the class, as well as other peers in my class, is that our professor is not showing up to class. He showed up the first day and has yet to show up since. I resent that because I have paid for this class in full, and have bought all the required materials and book needed for this particular class. This also angers me for now I have a two-hour break in my day for nothing. I schedule my schooling around work and other activities in my life.

I was wondering if this class has either been cancelled without our knowing, or if the professor is going to resume coming back to class. Either way I would be very upset if the class would be cancelled due to the fact that I would personally lose my medical insurance. If you could please get back to me with any information you have for the students in this class or myself, while we remain anonymous that would be great.

I don't see anything in that letter worthy of being reveered. Any decent student would have done the same so the fact that anyone is shocked and awed kind of baffles me.

fucking dean. i emailed Will asking him if it is my letter or not.

 

I would be pissed if the teacher stopped coming to class too..i'm currently in college...and if that happened to me..i'd be pretty upset too...
