Yellowcard Concert Thursday!
i saw their dvd for their ocean avenue album and wasnt impressed at all. the only solid thing they have going for them is their insane drummer. its weird how they can sound real good on their recording but like crap in real life. of course, thats the magic behind digital recording.
Woo! That was soooo much fun! It was supposed to be Rufio, Moneen and Yellowcard. Rufio cancelled so some :ghey: band played from Seattle. They sucked so bad. It was 4 people, a bassist, guitar, singer. The singer was a girl who screeched everything then sang really high pitched. They actually got boo'd. It was funny, but my ears were screaming.
Moneen was decent. They were punkish and sorta knew how to work the crowd. I wouldn't buy their cd but I probobly would download it and try it out. I have a feeling they'd be better in studio.
Yellowcard...What can I say? They f-ing rocked!!! It was so cool! The sound tech guys from the arena don't know how to mix or whatever very well though, but it was the first concert there. We got to hear 3 or 4 new songs from their album getting released on Jan 24, called Lights and Sounds. It'll be a good cd, less about girls screwing them over, so they say. My friend and were about to hop the barrier to get to the pit but some kid did it right before us, fell on his face, ran into the pit and got caught a few moments later, so we waited. We never did end up going into it though. The pit looked good, not very hardcore though.
Yellowcard definitely knows how to work the crowd and they were great in concert. I would definetely go again. This was their first concert in the US for a few years (Maybe first ever, it was hard to tell what they were talking about) My ears still hurt, its a good hurt though. I have a feeling my hearing will be cutting out more now though.
I was really disappointed that Rufio didn't show up.
