First car project
Well since im still for some reason trying to get over my ex. I decided to go and get a second job and join up at the gym to sorta keep me outta the house and my mind focused on something else. I have an interview today at best buy and most 9/10 i'll get the job. The extra money is going to go towards...my car PC. A friend of mine at my current job has one in his ford focus and its nice. It'll cost me about 800 but since i'll be working at best buy..i'll get alot of the more expensive stuff for cheap..Hopefully this will turn out the way i want and keep my mind occupied on other things.

Got a question ...
Where do you plan on putting the monitor? In the Sentra, there's only room for a single din. Most car PC's have a 7in touchscreen somewhere.

If you look at the interior of the car...they have that little thing where you can put the CD's in the dash or whatever u want to use it for. Im going to put the monitor in there and the monitor im getting can be folded or disconnected so when i get out of the car...i can flip the lid down and you'll never know the monitor is there.

Gotcha. It's that hutch thingy at the top of the dash near the windshield, right?
I've always wanted to get a laptop holder/table (like cops) in my car.
-Take a 1/8 jack to the radio's RCA in for sound.
- get a power inverter for the plug
and you're set.
Pros:
- Large screen
- removable
- drive for internet connections (just park at a Starbucks)
- easily upgradable
- not complicated to install
- extremely versatile. (car, home, work use)
Cons:
- size
- cost of laptop table/mount

A buddy of mine use a touch screen and it fits perfectly into that little sqaure space in the car. He uses a mac notebook that he bought off ebay for real cheap because the monitor wasn't working. There are tons of things that you could do. Good luck with the project. 800 sounds about right for the basic setup.
