HAN & Hurricane Rita
With Rita closing in on Texas I'm sure massive amounts of the state will experience outages.
HAN is hosted on servers in Dallas, Texas. While this is further inland and may not physically be effected by the hurricane much, it could disrupt power to Dallas.
In the case that it does and you cannot access HAN, this is most likely the reason.
This all depends on how the outages effect Dallas, and I'm not sure how that will be.
Thanks

Our HVAC systems are condenser units by Data Aire to provide redundancy in cooling coupled with ten managed backbone providers. Twelve more third party backbone providers are available in the building via cross connect. Fire suppression includes a pre-action dry pipe system including VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) with over 700 smoke detectors between the two facilities.

Here's an example of a worst case senario... going worse.
One of my sites is housed in a data center that has 5 generators. It only takes 4 to completly power the whole place for a week.
Unfortunatly 2 generators failed durring a recent power outage lasting longer than the batteries could sustain. Completely shutting the place down. So yea, HAN could be down for a while.
Time to get a few backup servers... I put one in Chicago, New York and say UK.
