I've had my left ear pierced for almost 2 years. Its been guaged to 10 for a couple months. I pierced my right ear two days ago. Its been guaged to 10 for 5 minutes. Last night I went to get another 10 for my right and came out with two 6 guage strechers, even though I said I wasn't going to go bigger. I was going to wait a while before going to 6. Then I said screw it and went for it. It was sweet. I popped my ear cherry. It was streaching and splitting then pop, it gave and went in nice. Tomorrow I might guage my right ear to 6.

im at 1/2". took me about a year. if you just pierced your ear the other day, you shouldnt even be thinking about stretching it until its completely healed.

a good reason would be that you went scuba diving and you went a little too low and the pressure made your ear pop and its still sore.

stabbing an oversized piece of metal into your ear - especially significantly larger than the one you already had - and before your ear was healed from the new piercing is absolutely a bad reason.
