Yea, I know every college student has to endure the overpriced, monopolistic bookstore on campus.

this is rediculous...

Astronomy: A Beginners Guide To The Universe $96

#1 the book is a fuckin paperback

#2 it's fuckin 3 years old

If you end up using the book quite a bit in class ... fine.

I hate it when you'd buy a book, and the teacher only uses it once in a while ... only because you were told to buy it. :squint:

i have so many classes where the text is like 20% of the material

mike, i have that same exact book i used in my astronomy class 2 years ago

Amazon or any other source for USED books RULES

Have only had to buy one new book in the last 3 classes.

FWIW: Amazon lists that book used for $47.-

There are certain areas in economics where there's only 1 good textbook, or only 1 made since 1983. And you can tell when you buy it.

I would never buy the textbook until after the first class. If the teacher used it, I'd suck it up and buy it.
