Default Career plans...

Honestly, do you guys think there is money (50-75k a year) for someone who has a Associates Degree in Automotive Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Communication?

I know someone who's darn close to getting those... h:

the associates might get you into that salary range, but only if you're really good at it. the bachelor's has a better chance if you get picked up by one of the larger telecommunications companies.

well i'm practically done with the AA with 2 classes left, and the Com degree isnt far off either, so i'll have both on my resume.

i'm looking to get hired by:

PR work for a big car company

Media/Tech coverage, particularly Peterson or McMullen Argus

AAA or DOT for field representatives

see, you're asking a question that no one can really answer for you. we don't know your expertise, your skill, or your career focus.

my answer was more or less a shot in dark.

hmmm i guess you're right. i just dont want to be going through all this school and see some chump with no education, but with similar field experience and expertise as i do, get paid the same.

I'm at work getting paid what you want with a bachelors. Yes, anything is possible. Whew, I better take a coffee break, I typed something.

Seriously, pursue the companies you want to work for aggressively. Some HR directors admire folks who won't take no for an answer.

As a fall back, your an ASE mechanic. That can easily put you in your desired salary range. Just make sure you wash under your nails before going on interviews.

Degrees only get you in the door. You won't get that just starting out. You will need to prove yourself first, before you earn anything decent.
