What should i be looking for...i know im going to check the fluids. Check to see if theres any milky substance in the antifreeze. Anything else..how does one check for exhaust leaks.

just turn it on and look under the car.... also you should be able to hear any leaks....

Good luck...check for dirt in the paint. It'll look like little specks that stick up in the paint. That means it's been painted before and possible damaged. Check the fenders in the engine bay area to see if it looks like the bolts have been moved any, meaning it's been damaged/replaced before. Stuff like that can allow a couple hundred bucks of deduction.

start the car, follow the engine tone from the cat back and keep an ear out for "spudders"?

My car has a tiny hole in the Y pipe. It sounds likes a tiny helicopter. :hsugh:

Yea man..my commute to work by car is about 40 minutes. Since i have to take the bus...it takes me about 2 1/2 hours - 3 hours. I usually leave the house at 5:30am to get to work by 8. I leave at 4:30 get home by 7pm. It sux badly

Make sure the car isn't already started when you get there. If it is.. ask to turn it off.. wait about 15 minutes or so.. then turn it back on.
