Whats worse was when I was in the service , when we did any kind of war simulation , we used blanks in are weapons. All it basically does is make noise and dirty up your weapon.
What kind of games did you play? Speedball , attack & defend , capture the flag?

Paintball is awesome but airsoft rocks too.
Much cheaper, more accurate, bigger fields of combat.
Paintball is all about who can put the most paint in the air; suppression fire, rates of fire, fields of fire.
I liked paintball until I played airsoft. Sold all the paintball gear, at a huge loss, and still had money left over after buying all new airsof equipment
Airsoft facilitates more realisitic combat, especially being able to reach out and touch at distances greater than 50 yards....
The only drawback is that there are not very many folks who play airsoft.....yet.
