I ran into this nuts guy driving home just now. So I am driving down the road to my house, my house is on a somewhat busy road with 2 lanes that has lots of houses on it, off this road there are a bunch of side roads with more houses on it. So I am driving towards my house at the speed limit which is 40, and I come up on this car doing 20. I figure it's probably some old person, tons around here, so I sit behind them for like a minute just in case they were just taking their time getting up to speed, after a minute they weren't so I flash my lights a couple times to give them a heads up, the car slowly speeds up like 5 mph, so I am like okay, the next clear straightaway with no possible speed traps and no cars coming I'm gonna pass even though you pretty much aren't supposed to, it's double yellow all the way but I wanted to just get home.

So I check the road, downshift, turn out, overtake and get back in front and slow back down to 40. However the entire time this was going on there was this car behind me which had pulled out behind me earlier, some Lincoln or something, not a cop. So a little while after I had overtook this lady, who didn't seem to be going so slow anymore because I didn't didn't pull away going 40 after I passed, I am approaching my house. I make it habit that if there is anyway I might have pissed someone off and by chance they are a homicidal nutcase I drive around the block across the street from my house before actually going to my house. So I turn off and I notice the Lincoln that was behind me pull off too, so I'm like this is kind of weird, it's a pretty small block and the odds are pretty small he lives on it. I also notice he's right on my ass, so I turn around the first corner, and then the second, and on the last little stretch before the road again he pulls up right next to me and starts swerving around next to me on this little road, I didn't really know what to do so I tried to turn a little in his direction and force him to squeeze back behind me which he did, I didn't want him to stay next to me.

I was getting pretty nervous that I may have pissed this guy off, I think he flashed his lights at me while I pulled out to pass. So I get to end of the road and I go to go the opposite the direction I would have if I was going to my house, not wanting this nutcase to follow me to my house. Fortunately he didn't follow me, I didn't know what I was going to do if he did, I guess just keep driving until he went away I wouldn't want to run which would be really dangerous, and it couldn't have been a cop. So I turned around and went back home, pretty sketched out but happy I did go around the block like I usually do. Guy was probably pissed cause he thought I was being reckless, but he can eat shit and mind his own buisness.

Yeah, he prolly just wanted to bitch at you for passing across the double yellow. While he would be right and you shouldn't do it, if you can see and there is no traffic I can't say that I wouldn't have been tempted to do it myself.

 

ive been pretty paranoid myself and gone around the block if there was someone behind me. id even go as far as driving int eh dark w/o lights on.
