i just told my boss i need either a promotion or a raise or im going to have to leave for a job that pays me what im worth. (even though id really rather not)

never had to do that before but i decided enough was enough.... it was kinda weird, i was nervous as hell :nervous: it was kinda tough to get started but i guess it went okay....

she said that im a good fit here and they dont want to lose me (but she understands and wouldnt ever be "mad" that i look for other work or try to better myself) so she is going to see what she can do. she is going straight to the CEO for this one.... good thing he likes me too.... we'll see how things pan out :happysad:

 

good for you. cant always just sit there and take things and be shy about asking for more in terms of compensation. i mean, managers should understand that disgruntal employees are not very good for the work environment.

nah, she's already been to his office... if i dont hear anything by this time next week, im going to his office myself. and quitting. im done wishing for things, its time to start expecting and even demanding things.

if they let me quit, i have another job i can walk into as soon as i can get there... it might not be the professional career im looking for but it pays just as well.... and will pay the bills until i can find something better.
