If it's such an inconsequential thing for the press to be covering then why are you bothering to make far more of a big deal about them covering it? This photo was buried in a slideshow (total of 183 photos) attached to an article about the U.N. Press photogs take as many pictures as they possibly can, because they want to get paid. It's not like the news wires ran a headline, "Breaking News: George W. Bush Passes Note to Condoleeza Rice Saying He Needs to Go Potty!" Maybe you should quit trying to find every opportunity to establish this opinion of yours that the evil liberal media is out to get Bush all the time.
