Default well, i got offered another job

back at the hospital i used to work at. same pay as i get now, atleast to start. it'd be doing billing (medicare, medi-cal, etc). it'd still be close to home, which is nice. and it'd be with my mom, and we work well together.

i'm not sure if i'll take it or not. i'm not really happy with my current job, and they haven't made me permanent yet, which means no benefits and stuff. but there's probably room for growth, where there wouldn't necessarily be at the hospital. but i think i'd be able to find a job anywhere if i could do that kind of billing as not that many people do it. i think, but i don't really know.

i probably need to make a decision by the end of the weekend. we'll see.

I dont think I could work with a family member or girlfriend. I see people that do it and it seems like they have nothing to talk about when they get home as they go thorugh basically the same process everyday.

How long have you been there so far?

I say go with the hospital job, et benefits, learn more medical billing and then find a job that pays more with your expanded knowledge.

i've been here for 9 months. they've talked about making me permanent, just haven't done it. if they made me perm, i'd get benefits.

and about growth, i agree. there needs to be the ability to grow and move up. the room for growth i have now would be within the company. with the hospital, it would be learning a new trade, and then finding something somewhere else (at some point down the line).

my overall goal is to save up some money, move to arizona, and open my own store, so anything i do between now and then is just in preparation for that.
