It's called the Gumball Rally. You can do it but majorly expensive to even register. And you get lots of tickets if you get caught

i have that dvd. it was interesting for the first 15 minutes, then it's the same old ish.
i was actually at the SF one when they embarked on the rally to florida, or was it NY. it was funny because they were getting police escorts in the city and mayor willie brown actually went for a ride in the ferrari f50. then once they hit the open road, CHP was waitin for em. i read that about 10 cars were stopped and impounded. CHP then warned nevada highway patrol about a bunch of speeders, and their response was somethin like, if they ain't killin nobody, we don't care.

I think it was the 2003 rally that a helicopter was chasing them. And there was a huge road block to stop them all. ONe guy had like 10 tickets.

It's $5,000 to enter then you have to pay for any fines, gas, repairs, partying etc. along the way.
It seems more of a race for bragging rights to be able to say you did it since there isn't really any prize money for the run.
