Default workout peeps: need good ab workout for lower and oblique(sp)/sides

well i joined the gym again after about a 2.5 yr hiatus
got a pretty good deal, i did what i should have done from the start and paid for my time in bulk. paid for 1 year and got next 2 free essentially with no signup or introduction fee. after the 3 years i pay $70 a year so i think its a killer all club deal. anyways back to my question. i need some good ab excercises for my roundedness of drinking and late night eating. more for the lower abs and obliques.

on a side note i played me some raquetball yesterday and that was tiring and even my upper body felt like it got some work done to it

ohhh yeah im part of workout crew now h:

I laid off of lifting for a few weeks, did a set of 185lbs on the bench, I need to get back to it. A month ago, I was putting up 205lbs with no problems h:

The most important factor in good abs is your body fat percentage, so cardio will be your friend. I reccomend spinning and ellipticals.

Yes very true. Also what you eat plays a large part in this as well. Now all that being said if his body fat percentage is low and he just needs to define the abs, I have some exercises that will work.

Lower abs:

-Lay on your back on a bench or floor. keep legs bent at the knee, feet touching the floor. Then bring your knees to your stomach/chest.

-If you have a hanging bar you can do this same type of motion only from a hanging position.

Obliques:

-Stand straight with your arms at each side of your body. Hold a dumbell in one hand. Move the hand without the dumbell down your side (about a foot or so). Then go back to your starting position. Do this for each side.
