anti-depressant withdrawal...it really, really sucks
2 weeks ago today i stopped taking my anti-depressants without my physican's consent or guidance (re: he doesn't know). i cannot pay him a visit because basically i cannot pay him money. i tried to refill my prescription with my campus pharmacy (where i was getting it from originally) but they never got back to me because i don't have the prescription #.
now for the past few days trying to sleep has been extremely difficult - my mind is racing and it's my imagination that is causing it. during the day i'm fine...but late night is when i start having symptoms. my work motivation has decreased from my performance on the meds and i'm sleeping much less - i probably wont even be able to sleep tonight. also my anxiety is on the up which is also contributing to my sleep problems.
i really, really need to find a way to refill that prescription before i start going insane!!!

i just started searching google about it and i'm relieved to know that it's not just in my case but in general these symptoms are common to others who drop medication.

i was only suppose to be on this therapy for about 1-1.5 years...i've only been on it since january so that's about 9 months i've only been on it.
it's not habit-forming but you create a dependency. while it does really work and corrects the problem - it takes time. suddenly dropping it, like in my case, can have several bad reprecussions:
-even worse depression
-suicide
-memory fatigue
-some other stuffs

i like the one line in one of these articles:
"hallucinations can make the sufferer feel as if they are going crazy. You are not going crazy."
those are what i would say im suffering while trying to fall asleep.

This is definitely not good bud. Next time you're about to run out and you know you won't be able to get any for a while you should start to ween yourself a little. Take a half and half again the next day. Even when you are ending your time on the medicine you will need to be weened off them. Your brian gets used to it being there.
Hope you're feelin alright.
