Need Java help.
It's been a while since i've programmed. I just need some help getting started with this assignment.
"Essentially, you will prompt the user for the size of a "square" matrix of characters, represented as a 2D array of char. Once you have the size of this matrix, you will populate the matrix with randomly-selected Unicode characters. You will randomly select any character that appears on your computer keyboard. Generally, this means alpha-numeric characters such as 0-9, a-z, A-Z, etc. You'll need to study the Appendix in your text that covers the ASCII character set in order to randomize the correct characters.
Once you've randomly populated this matrix of characters, I want you to horizontally and vertically sort this matrix such that the largest-valued character is in the lower-right-hand corner of the matrix and the least-valued character is in the upper-left-hand corner of the matrix. Essentially, this is both a horizontal and vertical sort such that if you scan the matrix from left to right, values ascend; and if you scan the matrix from top to bottom, the values also ascend. "
Just not sure where/how to start since it's been so long since i've done this, Any help would be great, Thankya
