I can get an 80gb for 117+1.25 shipping, it's a Western Digital. The specs on it are about the same, same RPM, same cache, etc.

Plus, I am trying to buy 1GB of ram with the hard drive that way my computer will be faster as well as actually work now. Plus, I don't need 100gbs of space. I barely used 10gb when my old HD worked. I just need to know if my computer can store 1gb. Or even 2 gb. Hopefully 2gb, because I would buy 2gb of ram in a heartbeat.

Also, has anyone heard anything good about "Fujitsu"?
They have a lot of hard drives on newegg.com, and they are pretty cheap. I am wondering if them being cheap means they are P.O.S. cheap..

Maximum Memory 1024MB DDR SDRAM (2 x 512MB)
----Does this mean that I have to use 2 512MB sticks, or can I use 1 1GB stick?

I would go with two 512MB sticks. Using one 1GB stick may cause problems, if the computer boots at all.
