NAACP = predictable
"Yesterday on the show I predicted that by the end of the week someone was going to be calling for the victims of Hurricane Katrina to be paid massive amounts of money, just as were the families of the victims of 9/11. Well ... it didn't take long. And just who was it that stepped forward to demand the victims compensation fund? None other than the NAACP. Yup, NAACP president Bruce Gordon is saying that a compensation fund for the Katrina victims should be the first order of congress. By the way, the NAACP didn't call for a victim's compensation fund after any of the four hurricanes that devastated Florida year. Draw your own conclusions."

What a shock.
Dependancy on the government for basic needs and wants is the downfall of a society, and the way politicians and most people act it's not going to end anytime soon
I heard Bill Clinton the other day at his conference with Bush Sr talking about how we should give cash to Katrina victims "if they need it"...what the hell is that supposed to mean? If they need to buy a new big screen TV to replace their old water damaged one, the government should send them a check for it? Ridiculous. Let's try to end our aid at rescues, basic food and supplies, and shelter. It's up to these people to get back on their feet and start their lives over again. Just because they're black doesn't mean they need hand outs and money or else they're all gonna die and never live in a home again...I give them a bit more credit than the NAACP does.

See, this pisses me off. Look at how the country has come together and has shown UNSELFISHNESS in helping these poor people get back on their feet. When I donate, I could care less if it goes to someone who is black, white, purple, green, etc. When part of us gets wiped out by one of the worst natural disasters in this country's history, I want to help get people back to where they were.
Now, saying that these people deserve something more than that is a bit absurd.

i'm sure thousands of white people lost their homes and belongings to. you don't see anglo-saxons rallying together to push the government to give them money.
if you didn't have flood insurance or homeowners insurance - tough fucking break. don't start begging the goverment to give you money so you can support your crack habit.
