why does GM keep extending the employee discount?

But anyway, it's been a success for them, so they're trying to move as many units as possible. If it works, why mess with it
Why not just lower MSRP? People like to think they're getting a bargain. Plus, if they lower MSRP, people will try and bargain the price down even more.

Doesnt look like its working.
On my way to school and work, I see empty GM lots filled with cars. No one in site. Not even the sales people.
Nissan, Infiniti, and BMW seem to be doing extremely well. There lots are always packed. I think I saw 4 guys from GMC at checking out the G35. haha.
