As many of you know, I've been having internet problems....which boiled down to problems with my modem. I called the cable company on tuesday, explained the problem, and the tech agreed that the modem was to blame. He set up a time for the cable guy to come out today, between 8am and 12pm. That's a pretty broad window, but whatever...I don't work til 1. Well, 11:15 rolls around, and I'm wondering if the guy will show up. The phone rang while I was eating, and my dad didn't answer it. The guy left a message saying that he was running a few minutes late, but would be here by 1pm. WTF?????? You can't even hit a 4 hour window??? That's a joke. I have to leave at 12:30 for work. I'm tempted to leave a note on the gate telling him to leave the modem on the doorstep, and I'll take care of the rest.

Can't you call work and tell them that you'll be a little late. Or just call the cable company and demand some kind of reimbursement for their incompetance.
