Couldn't have said it better myself. The media will go on and on about the looters but they barely give the rescue workers any spotlight. And when they do interview a rescue worker, they ask them how they feel about the looters. People love bad news. It gives them something to talk about at the water cooler.

that's easy to say while you're sitting in the comfort of your home, full belly, clean clothes, fresh out the shower, functional sewage system, knowing where you're gonna sleep tonight and not having babies and/or family members dying right in front of you due to starvation/dehydration/lack of medical attention.

Go live the life those poor people have been living for the last 5 days and then come back and make us believe you feel the same way.

 

So due to those conditions they shouldn't work together to try and make things better? That's what it seems like you're saying here. If people would cooperate with the people trying to HELP them, yes, people went down there to assist, not to steal their food and eat their babies. Then maybe there'd be less trouble. But instead everyone's running around like chickens with their heads cut off and taking every advantage they can, even if it's completely unrelated to survival. "Oh god, my family is starving and we have no home, but damn I need that flat panel TV!"

The people causing all this shit need to be handled swiftly and with extreme prejudice. I wonder if they could declare martial law down there yet....

And yes it is easy for me to say this because I'm not a fucking animal. I'm a civilized human being who wouldn't do this shit. The people causing trouble down there are ignorant pieces of trash and do not deserve, nor will they get any sympathy from me.
