I give props to parents that parent when I see them. And I have a coworker that said in response to a parent asking, "what is wrong with my kid's grades? Arent you guys doing your job?"

If my kid ever gets caught stealing thats what I'm doing. Or make him stand out on a busy corner with a sign saying "When my mommy and daddy aren't home I like to play 5 knuckle shuffle!" when he gets caught with porn or beating teh meat. If he ever gets caught doing monkey bowls, hes up sh*t creek.
