Default Setting up a network... help please...

I have no idea whats going on...


The router is hooked up and my computer recognises it alright. I just dont know how to get the other laptop to get the signal...


I am so confused.

Anyone have help? Or a link to help me?

go to the router config page from the PC... look somewhere to see if Broadcasting is on... then on the lappy... right click the wireless connection icon in network properties, properties, and hit view available networks

My router should be sending out the network signal all the time right... so if I set it up on my end right, when we try and see available networks it should pop up...?

The Power, Wireless, Ehternet #1 and Internet lights are all on... but for some reason it cant Detect my Router...


do I have it hooked up wrong?


I have cable internet too... so its not like the cable can fit into the back of the router or anything... so confused still...
