I am re-doing my computer set-up.

I have two hard drives. One is 160gb 8mb cache, the other is 60gb 2mb cache.

Which of these should I put the operating system (XP pro) on? Does it matter?

Also, should I give the O/S it's own partition? If so, how much space should it be?

What about other partitions? How big should they be (max.)? Does this really matter?

i would give the os the 8mb drive.

Partitioning is up to you

 

use the 160 for OS
max partitions for each drive
