Well I was looking at this 256mb card for $50, showed it some other BF2 guys and they said it didn't have enough "pipelines"...whatever the hell that means...
it basically means how much bandwidth the card has to render shit.. but anyway, grifter with his 9800 pro may not be able to do max settings, but he'll be able to set it high enough. i also have a 9500 (pro), and i set just about everything at medium, at 1024x768. things look great enough, and the games runs nice and smooth.

you're all set. you can download the demo and test it out, if you want to be sure.

i got it for $40 shipped from outpost.com, but it's probably gone back up to $50 since.

the only thing i have shut off is the anti-aliasing, but i do have dynamic lighting and shadows set to low. h: i admit, a quicker vid card would be nice.

Yeah unfortunately I have anti-aliasing disabled, it will barely run with it on. My 128mb card is three years old. h:

I just picked up a copy for 10 bucks from a friend of mine! It's the cdrom version though. Any differences between that and the dvdrom version? And my vid card is a 128mb ati radeon x300 se(pci express); this should be fine right? Or is it time for an upgrade? h:

1 disc (dvd) as opposed to 4-6 discs (cd)
