This created a gigantic shift in the balance, which created a "grand black hole" which tore though time and space. It will destroy the past, present, and future if it isn't removed somehow.
Cybertron episode 1 picks up when the Transformers evacuate Cybertron. Without a clue on how to battle the black hole, they hear about 4 "planet cyber" keys that will unleash the ultimate power to fight it. Nobody knows wtf the ultimate power is, but that's their only shot.

So the characters in Energon caused the black hole that affected the characters in Cybertron. But they are not the same characters. Armada and Energon are the same characters right?

you know those TINY combiner TF's sold at Kaybee? Those are reissues too.

they were in the same series as Star Convoy and use him as a base. You can see Sixwing and Railracer in the box art.

the Kaybee figures are actually to scale with Star Convoy.

Yeah, I remember the kids are older and less annoying.
Sparkplug + Spike > Old Spike + Danny > Energon kids > Armada kids

What's the story on why he's so big? And does he get smaller later or they just wanted to make a set with Vector Prime?

By taking in some of the spark, Starscream gets to near planet size.
