I don't know if I would call it a rarity. I assume that you are referring to the bogus claim of the divorce rate being 50% or something like that. That is based off the amount of marriages vs. divorces per year. Obviously there are millions more people already married (and therefore able to get divorced) then there are people who get married in a single year. So in actuality, only a small percentage of those already married get divorced in order for it to amount to 50% when compared to the amount of marriages.



I don't mean to take anything away from those who have been married for a long time...I think it's great. I hope to be one of you. So far I've been married for 2 months and going strong.

well, where I live I have 1 friend who still has his orignal parents. The rest of them all have divorced parents/remarried parents/ step dads/ step moms/ etc etc....so why dont you base it more on personal experience instead of silly statisics...I am sure I could find a magical percentage to place on my area instead of some homogonized national divorce rate.

Wow, that sucks. I only have one friend who's parents are divorced. Thinking back to all my childhood friends none of them had parents that were divorced. Maybe I just grew up in a good area :dunno:

everybody in my area is a bunch of rich eccentrics..and most of the women are gold diggers....so you can imagine that things prob didnt start on the right foot to begin with.
