anyone know a good site where i can get a pretty cheap laptop, all i need is the bare essentials, a cd burner, and built in wireless. I've already checked dell and gateway the current base price is around $750.

I say give Amazon.com a try. They have used, new and refurbished laptops.

 

Dell runs good prices combo'ed with stackable coupons. Be patient and you can get something l o a d e d for $600.

 

You can buy a decent Compaq Presario 360something for like ~$500 (after mail in rebates) from bestbuy.

It's got everything you need, and it's a decent buy for what you are aiming at.

Can't be too picky when it comes to laptops with a price range under 900.
