I was I-80 earlier today heading for Scranton and I passed 3 Ford Econoline Vans that were packed with Amish folks.

I don't know much about the Amish but don't they usually ride around on horse and carriage?

 

they cant be amish if theyre in a car. unless maybe theyre all on the FBI's most wanted list and were hiding in the amish village

 

they could be mennonite, same look, more lax rules.

One thing I hate about the Amish here in PA. Is that they are not allowed to own any electronics or machinery type things, but they can BORROW or use yours and just mooch off of you.

It's funny how they work that deal. They can't have phones in the house, but a phone out in the barn is ok?

Also if you ever want to get rich quick go rob an Amish house. All their money is stashed there. One robber got away with like $100,000 or more. They don't believe in banks.

but yeah it could have been Amish or Mennoite. And Mennites only drive black cars. I'll have to take a picture of this church I go past when I come home from teaching twice a week. All black cars, vans and trucks.

 

I do know that after having witnessed the small Amish population here in Michigan that they can ride in cars as long as they don't drive them. It's funny tho since they sometimes put bench seats from cars on their buggies. I was hoping to see some teenage Amish dude put chrome dubs on his buggy.
