Default I was troubleshooting on my friends car

And saw an alarm killswitch. That seems like a really retarded idea.. I thought most places dont put those in anymore? :dunno:

Was it a alarm kill switch or car kill switch? I don't think a car kill switch is retarded.

Maybe it is incase if the alarm goes haywire and then you can't turn it off with the remote and if you take the power away from it, it will just use the auxilary battery. So then there is no other way to turn it off, but to use the alarm kill switch. :run:

my alarm has one, but i have to enter a code to make it turn off.

But if you break into it, the only way to turn it off still is that kill switch.

I thought all alarms had a valet swith that can only be turned off with the key in the acc/ position. Mine does.
