Default Quick, dumb AIM question

I updated my version of AOL Instant Messenger just now and I don't know if it's because it's late and I'm tired, but I can't figure out how to set it up so that hotlinks open up in new windows rather than in existing windows. Before the update it opened up its own window but not anymore. It's incredibly annoying. So the question: is there anyway to change this?

I can't find anything about how to fix this in the options/preferences menu. If there's no way to change it, I'm going to report this as a "bug".

what browser are you using? usually there's a setting for the browser to open in the same window or a new one.

Er...hyperlink? The correct term escapes me right now... h: Basically, the underlined text that's linked to something.

Currently I'm using Firefox. You might have a point. I was using IE up until recently. But even before the AIM update, I had no problems with links and Firefox. I'll look around for a solution though, thanks.
