any DC2-Rs are great cars. Quite possibly the best handling FF car in the world IMO. I was looking into a 2001 PY ITR for $18K before my E36M, but the insurance scared me away. But if you have a security that rivals fort knox, go for it man.
The S2000 was my top choice for my next car (2002 black AP1) but the insurance was too high ($8000 a year w/ my driving record), so I stuck with the M3 because the place that I financed it through were good friends with my dad so they didn't care who's name the insurance will be under (thus the insurance is under my mom's name), but the 12.50% interest rapes me.
All in all, go with the ITR...its worth it.
