500k for just a condo, that is insane! that better come with maid service and she'll offer you a happy ending whenever you want one. damm that is a lot of loot. good luck with getting that place, and I hope you make killer cash cause thats a lot of money for a postage stamp sized condo. I hope you are going to have someone else help with the payments.

good god, you can get a 5 bed, 3 car garage for that kind of money out there. We're not talking bad areas too, all upper class burbs.

oh god those must be insanely high as well. Shit for $125,000 co-ops the assessments here are over $600 a month.

im hoping this real estate boom is just a bubble man. i dont wanna pay half a million for a condo in chicago...no offense, put i hope no one is dumb enuff to pay that much for a 2 bedroom condo.......

the one down side about the bubble bursting is that rates will go up when the housing prices go down. I'd say get into the market as soon as you can.

houses here that are being newly build (most 3 bedroom 2.5 baths, 2 car garage + bonus room) sell for like $180,000 tops.

499,000 is too much for a condo. What state are you located in?
