Can anyone help me with my FF issue? It has crashed on me maby 3 times in the past 6 months, all the times I accidentally clicked a pop up and it went berzerk, then when I restarted FF it gave me a new user screen. So I thought all my old bookmarks were gone, so I just remade them all. Then it crashed for the second or third time awhile later, and this time when it gave me the new user screen when I restarted FF, I saw my first account on the list, so I selected it and all my old bookmarks were back. Now, FF crashed AGAIN, and this time, I got no user selection screen. All my bookmarks are gone, and its a real PITA. I know they are all saved somewhere, but I have no clue how to switch "users" and get them back. I searched FF help, but saw nothing relating to a user selection. Does anyone know what the hell is going on with my broser? I appreciate any help.

when that happens to me i close the process and restart

 

whenever the profile window comes up... ctrl-alt-del and kill firefox.exe

then restart firefox and everything should be there

 

I didnt even get a user selection list this time. Windows is what crashed, I was browsing the net, and then my computer shut off (not through the log out power down thing, I mean it was like i unplugged it). I know all my settings are saved, I just dont know how to switch users from current default to one that I saved before.

 

CTRL+ALT+DEL.....end task firefox

 

C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

there should be 2 folders in there... just copy *.* to the default folder from the other one

 

I just noticed that wierd is speeled wrong.
I before E except in the case of weird which is a weird word in that aspect, there are a couple others that break this rule as well

 

That place doesnt exist on my comp.

 

Hah, kinda like when I wrote "F*CK THEIVES" on the side of my car when I got broken into. That whole I and E thing is too much for me.
