going there beginning September. The prob is i just did a huge and expensive trip to Africa and middle east so my wallet is a bit skinny. What is the cheapest yet "on the strip" hotel? i mean one that is not too far from every cool hotels worth

Try the Flamingo Hilton. It's a kept secret they have the lowest prices. Best of all, you are in the middle of the strip where alot of the action is. You'd be right across from Ceasar's Palace. The no.1 club in America, Pure is there. It's the craziest club I've been to.

Also, if you check on Hotels.com or wherever you book, make sure you call the hotel to see if there is a cheaper rate available.

I have stayed in the Stratosphere and that is very cheap compared to some hotels on the strip. Stratosphere is closer to one end of the strip but its still "on the strip".

I have also stayed in Circus Circus, that is about the same price as Stratosphere and its right in the middle of the strip.

Both very cool places

Not to ruin your parade but the hot spots on the strip make the Stratosphere and especially the Circus Circus far away. However near the Circus Circus the Olympic Gardens is close by.

I know what your saying but pretty much wherever you are around that area, it feels like you are right in the middle of everything.
