Cheap detectors do that, can't really differentiate between what's what... they pick up stores' automatic door openers. Not saying higher end detectors don't, but they do give you a better differentiation. Depending on where you drive, you should switch the mode from city to highway (vice versa)

 

Yeah but Ka out in the county? It goes off sometimes on the lowest level when there arent houses right by me. Im going to exhange it tomarrow and see if the new one stops doing it. Its just a 90 dollar Cobra. Come to think of it, when I had the same model last year, it did the same thing..

I want to get an Escort or a Valentine.

 

I was going to get the Escort Passport 7500S, but the sales rep told me that it wasnt that great, and reccomended me a cheaper model made by someone else. The 7500 was 150, and that was WAY too much than I should have been spending right now, but I was going to untill I heard bad stuff about it. I cant afford the 8500 for a while, so I settled for the Cobra.

Did it ever screw you? I dont want to be using a detector that isnt doing me any good..

 

Superglue that sucker to the dash and forget it.

 

Wish I could, but if I could do that, I would just leave it on the windshield all the time.
