Castration really won't help at all, as was mentioned in the article.

I'd be quite interested to see Prof. Sigler's studies that show castration of sexual predators has less preventative affect than a monthly polygraph. I think that's ridiculous.

Why do you assume that sexual pleasure is the reason that people do this? There's not a whole lot of sexual acts that you can perform on or with a child who hasn't reached puberty.
