briefing from the ICU (Volks continuation)
After coming home from work and eating dinner, I decided to start polishing the first wheel that I had sanded down. I used a polishing kit I picked up from Home Depot during my lunch today and it's working extremely well. Here is a shot when I first started. I later took the rim apart to make it a little easier. The first wheel alone has about 5 hours of work involved. :happysad: I think the rest will take about 2-3 hours a piece since I know what I'm doing now. Anywho...here's a sample.
They actually have a better shine than this. I went back over each section several times. I'm pretty happy with the results.

I need to do that with my GP-0's. I have a lot of scratches on the polished lip, especially around the area of the valve stem. It's heavily scratched because I'm not really careful when I put air in my tires. h:

His rims were already polished on the lip. You'd need to get some aircraft stripper to get the black powdercoat/paint off, and then go to work with a high speed polisher.
