Default headphones suggestions

I need some new headphones. I'm looking for something that sounds great, able to play a large range in music, games and movies. Comfortable. Lightweight, don't need to shrink my neck.

Noise canceling is ok but not needed.

Last but not least, no more than $100.

Here's 2 I was looking at.
MDR-XD300 for about $50. 40mm driver, 70ohms, 8-25k freq resp.
MDR-XD400 for about $100. 50mm driver, 24ohms, 5-30k freq resp.

best buy had the XD300 on display but it was tuned to some radio station and it wasn't coming in clear. I guess I could ask them to get something better playing and take off the anti theft tag so I could feel how it fits too.

Yea, the Sennheiser's seem to get great reviews also. I am considering them also. I like the look and feel of the Sony that I tried on, it was just enough pressure to hold them in place but not too much to squish my head.

Sony MDR-V700DJ Headphones with Swivel Earcups

too big? I use these for my DJ'ing needs ... they also double as studio headphones.

They don't look like they'd be too big. But they are a bit more than I'd like to spend.

I need something flexable. Something that can go from mp3's, to cd's to a video game to a movie. But do them well, not just so so.
