well, im not sure if everyone knows this or not, but i work a road course track (Nelson Ldges Race Track). today, ford s.v.t was testing out some prototypes, namely the 07 shelby cobra, and the gt40. both very sweet cars. we (the corner workers) have been there since 8 oclock in the morning and we didnt get to leave until 8 oclock at night. well, 2 minutes before it was time to leave, something funny yet disturbing happened. the shelby cobra was on the back straight, i was in my station and could see the whole thing. there wasa loud boom (imagine a car running over its own exhaust system, or an eninge exploding) followed by smoke just pouring out of the car, my first impression was, oh fuck, this bitch blew his motor and im gonna be here until 9.30 cleaning uip oil from this fuckers car.

well, it wasnt oil, it was only coolant. apparently, he had hit a groundhog going 110mph. it tore his coolant lines all to shit and fucked up some other shit too. so, it was pretty funny. the groundhogs remains were spread all over the track.

now, hitting a ground hog has become pretty common. so far ground hogs have taken out 4 vehicles, a gsxr1000 during a fast trac race event, a a formula spec car, a bmw m3 and the newest annhililation, the '07 shelby cobra. all of us workers constantly joke around about it and are now giving the groundhogs names.

now this coming weekend is the SCCA 12hr race. so if there are any SCCA members in here going to Nelson Ledges Race Track in ohio this weekened, beware of groundhogs, theyll fuck your shit up, i have witnessed it and its more funny than anything youll ever see, unless its your car, then youll be pissed

just got word from the race track. when they were cleaning up the groundhog, they found an old, rusted screwdriver next to the groundhogs remains. these lil bastards are getting dangerous, next they'll be packing steak knives

 

any interesting names for ur groundhogs?

 

They need to put those wildlife whistler things on all the race cars to scare the bastards off.

P.S. I almost pissed myself when I read the part about the groundhogs packing steak knives.

 

gordan, but we think he was the kamikazee (sp) that took out the shelby, humper (seen him fucking another groundhog behind the tire wall, and there was another.

they were supposed to have someone come and get rid of them, but its to late for that now
