hey yall ive got a chance to buy a volkswagen gti vr6 right now for cheap and im wondering what ur opinions are on it? let me know....

Being an MKIV VR6 owner (Jetta) myself, and one with 100k miles and no problems (other than a constant Check Engine Light, you'll learn to love it); I say GO FOR IT!

The few problems that these cars do have (which I have had none of) -- like coilpacks and door regulators and such, are all covered by service bulletins at the dealership free of charge.

VW has, in my experience, taken very good care of issues with their vehicles.

Like I said, I've had none with mine.

Whatever you do, don't put 18x10" wheels in the back and 18x8" in the front, with big ass stretched tires and all that shit to be "euro." It just looks stupid.

its a 98 and it has 116k on it....and it would be a stock daily driver for me so no "eurotrash"

I would favor the 1.8T over the VR6... :happysad: I have friends who have both, hands down 1.8T for me.

all my Vdub friends go with the VR6 and boost them,...i say go ahead and get it
