i quit my old job last year because the pay was not going up and there was no upward mobility in the company. vp and manager were cool as heck. they did help me a lot on what i learned and know.

 

i used to work for worldcom in the finance/legal position when they were cooking the books...i quit after 10 months of how ebbers (who was just sentenced to 25 years in jail) ran that company into the ground...everyone in my dept are now gone from layoffs to attrition

 

I needed a liver transplant so I quit working for myself.

 

Well, it went "ok"............he was surprised, but not shocked. I think everyone in the office (including him) knew that this was not my "ultimate" job/profession. We are going to re-visit things later today and hash out a few details, but overall it went well, or at least as well as could be expected. I am glad it is over!

 

i just let the boss know and gave my 2 weeks. another time i just called in and said im not going in anymo'

 

When I quit my resturant job, I gave my 2-weeks to the owner and direct supervisor. Then I was just being a bitch to everyone else I didnt like because they suck. h:

When I quit the parking attendant job, I gave my 2-weeks and went from there.

When I quit my draftsman job, I told my cousin (vp)...ummm I found another job so I am going to take that to pursue other interests. He asked when, I told him I start 3 days from now h: I felt bad because I didnt tell him ahead of time...oh well.

 

just make sure you give two weeks' notice.

only one job i didn't formally "quit" i worked at Express for 3 weeks just to get the initial 50% discount and 20% thereafter just never went back after i raided the store
